July 4th, 2008: We adopted 2 beautiful kittens! So far they are unnamed...

United as one at last!

June 18th, 2008, Trevor Johnstun & Melissa Johnstun (formerly known as Melissa Mitchell) were united as one under a beautiful summer sun. The ceremony was held at Aspen Landing in Taylorsville, Utah; it was conducted by Joe Jensen. It was an amazing day; Melissa looking stunning in her white dress and Trevor decked out in an all black tux with a white tie.

Melissa is the love of my life. We have a token saying regarding our chance in meeting; taken from Rascal Flats it is "God bless the broken roads that led me straight to you." Melissa was so beautiful in her dress, it was worth the wait. She is my love, my life, and my best friend.

The following day, June 19th, 2008, we set off for Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at 6:00 am! We were a little tired that early in the morning. Puerto Vallarta was breath taking, beautiful beaches, hot and humid weather, amazing food, awesome people, and tasty beverages! Melissa had a life long wish of swimming with dolphins, which we did; that was one of the coolest activities I've ever done. Yadalla was her name, she felt like rubber and let us ride her around the pool.

I want to give thanks to everyone that helped out and did so much for Melissa and me. Special thanks to Melissa's parents, Mercedes and Brent; my parents, Scott and Lori; Donovan, the photographer; Noelle, Melissa's Maid of Honor; Brett the Best Man; the beautiful flower girls; and Taegen, the little stud that carried the rings. Thanks again and I love you all!

A passing of a loved one

April 29th, 2008, this world lost one of its greatest residents. Betty Page, my grandma (Grammy as I called her) passed away from a sudden onset of streptococcus pneumonia. After battling breast cancer, diagnosed in 2006, her immune system was compromised from treatments including chemotherapy and radiation, which made her frail defenses more susceptible to infections. Grammy was an amazing woman. Her passion for life was passed down to her three kids: Bob, Lori (my Mother), and Carrie. Her passing was unexpected and sent shock-waves through out her family. She will truly be missed. Her life will be forever passed down to generation to generation. She leaves behind a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, William Page (Bill). Grammy I love you and miss you but I know you are now in a place where there is no pain. I will see you again. I love you forever and always.
